John has built a long-standing trust with customers through an unwavering dedication to delivering “what they really need.” John offers his customers more than 18 years of experience partnering with hundreds of healthcare providers to develop and innovate patient billing and payment solutions.
In 2000, John co-founded HealthCom Partners, a leading provider of patient billing software and services for hospitals and health systems. HealthCom pioneered the patient-friendly billing concept and consulted with the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) in the early stages of their initiative. In 2001, HealthCom launched PatientCompass, healthcare’s first full-service, online account management and payment solution that combined disparate hospital and physician systems for a one-stop patient experience. PatientCompass set the bar by helping hundreds of premier health systems redefine the way they bill and communicate with patients.
HealthCom sold to McKesson (MCK) in 2006 as the first acquisition to form RelayHealth, a revenue cycle services company. At RelayHealth, John led the patient billing and payment business for five years, serving more than 1,000 healthcare providers.
After RelayHealth, John launched and led the healthcare vertical for doxo, an award-winning payment and document network that is transforming the way people connect with businesses to manage and pay their household accounts.
John holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton. He is a member of HFMA (First Illinois Chapter), Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM). He has published several articles for healthcare trade journals, and has been a speaker at numerous conferences, including the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Healthcare Internet Technology Conference, HFMA, and AAHAM.Read More...
